Reading Readiness

Reading - Reading is a complex task. No two people are neurologically the same and no one is neurologically perfect. Neurological idiosyncrasies make each of us is unique.

For at risk students and children with language-based learning disabilities, it is even more difficult. My main goal as a reading specialist and academic interventionist is to help them develop a solid foundation in phonics and phonological awareness, which will allow them to

- read fluently

- increase their reading and listening - speaking vocabularies

- understand what they read
